OAU: POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT LEGISLATIVE ARM SUSPENDS DEPARTMENTAL PRESIDENT, GENERAL SECRETARY INDEFINITELY.

The parliament of the National Association of Political Science Students , OAU, on 21st of October 2016 suspended indefinitely the President and General Secretary of the department's association.

The Political Science Students Representatives Council(PSSRC) gave reasons why the suspension had to take place and it made it known in a public release signed and co-signed by its speaker and clerk, Rt.Hon. Adebowale Miftau and Hon. Lateef Basirat.

The house(Political Science Students Representatives Council )  gave the reasons for the suspension of the President, Effiong Samuel Enoch(Samsynthesis) as follows :
1. The President  failed to attend parliamentary plenary sittings, and he was invited for a sitting which he ended up not attending. 
2.The President increased Freshers' annual dues without ratification by the house or congress. 
3.  The President unilaterally took decisions without the knowledge of the Executive council. 
4.The President failed to report to the speaker of the Departmental  association and the house on his engagements on behalf of the Association.
5. The President failed to implement   the resolutions of the parliament(PSSRC) on sensitive issues affecting the existence of the association(National Association of Political Science Students, OAU chapter). 
6.The Failure of the President to disburse monies to the house,monies meant for the effective running of the parliament as an independent arm.

However, the house stated that the General Secretary, Akintokun Akinyemi David(Y'flows), was suspended due to the following :
1.His inability to renew the association at the Division of Students' Affairs. 
2. His inability to renew the association which Incapacitated the Financial Secretary of association from opening a bank account for the Association.

Radar news network put a call through to Mr Effiong Samuel Enoch(Samsynthesis), the embattled President, and he failed to give a definite reply as to why the house suspended him and his view(s) as regards his suspension.

Also, all efforts to get information from Mr Akintokun(The suspended General Secretary) proved abortive as he declined giving any information on the subject matter while on a telephone conversation with one of our correspondents. 

A student of the Department of Political Science, Ibikunle Mohammed,while reacting to the suspension of the President and General Secretary of had this to tell our correspondent :
" If the gold could got rust, then what should we expect of an iron? The complaints of other executive members that were present at the sitting affirm the fact that the president does not know his onions and to this end I believe that his indefinite suspension is justified.

On suspension of y-flows. He his generally not diligent and not that alone, he equally abridge the constitution. Thus suspending him is simply fine and apt".
